Just In and Special Help Needed

2017 First Quarter Results –  we gave out enough food to create 15,876 meals.

We need someone with a truck to assist us in our pickup at Walmart each Tuesday.  We never know how much is there for us.  If you can help, please call Sue at 603-724-9731.

Also needed is a truck on April 17, 2017 to help pickup our USDA shipment.  Volunteers are also need to help unload as well.  It is usually about 3,200 – 3,500 pounds of food.  Again, if you can help, please call Sue at 603-724-9731.

We have a Honda Fit (it can fit a lot, but not that much).  Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Sue & Bill

The LFP Challenge to Fight Hunger Update

As of March 16th, we have received $909.54 in food and $2,398.51 in funds (a total of $3,308.05) for this challenge.

How do we get these figures?

Each food donation is counted as $1 per item.
Each produce or meat item is counted as $1 per pound.
Funds are counted dollar per dollar.

Receiving food and funds during this challenge helps to restock the pantries food supplies and funds after the holiday season and it also allows us to remain afloat during the next few months when donations are at their lowest.

We are striving to make our goal of $10,o00 (in food and funds) by the last day of April.

How can you help?  First, you can spread the word about our challenge to anyone that will listen.  You can also donate food for funds yourself.  Click here to go to our special page for this challenge.

2016 Donation Letters

I put 232 donor letters in the mail yesterday.  So everyone should have them today or tomorrow.  We had an increase of 100 donors in 2016.  I’d like to thank all of our donors for their help and generosity during 2016.   Your donations of food and funds have allowed us stay afloat which in turn helped us to give out enough food to create 68,147 meals.

The people that come to us for help are thankful for the food they are given.  During the winter months, they especially appreciate not having to make that choice of keeping their family warm or feeding them.

The Loudon Food Pantry family may do the work and give out the food but it is you, our donors, that are the real heroes.  Thank You!
