Monday 12/8/16. Help & Vehicle Needed

We need to pickup our USDA delivery on Monday December 12th.  They said this shipment is very large.  We have one pickup truck but could use another (just in case).  Also volunteers to help process the food when it comes in.

The trucks will meet at Loudon Food Pantry (30 Chichester Rd., Unit D, Loudon) at 11:00 AM.  Then will go together to the USDA pickup location in Concord (it’s just down the street from the pantry).  Volunteers will be needed to help load and unload the trucks and process the food that comes in.  If you can’t stay for both, that’s ok.

If you can help with a truck, please email me at Sue@loudonfoodpantry.org.  All other help, please come to the pantry for 11:00 AM on Monday.

Thank you in advance!

Sue

Why does a food pantry need donations?

We need donations to purchase needed food, operating expenses and the repair / replacement of essential equipment.  Just recently, a freezer we had purchased shortly after opening in 2008 has started to fail.  It’s been a good freezer to us and has undergone a lot of use in the eight years we’ve had it.  Thankfully, it looks like it will be able to hold temperature until we get the new one in on Tuesday.  Thanks to the generosity of the community we had the money to get a new one but it has severely depleted our finances.  Anything that you can give to help cover the cost of replacing the freezer would be a huge help!

Please help us to help those in need!
