How we helped our communities

In July 2023 we gave out enough food to 230 individuals for them to prepare 3,967 meals.  Of these people, 137 were age 60 and older (60%), 33 were age 18 or under (14%), and 60 were between those ages (26%).

Loudon Old Home Day

We had a booth at Loudon Old Home Day this year.  It was great reconnecting with everyone and signing up new people as well.  This year turned out to be exceptional.  We collected $3,280.90 in donations and sold $2 in wrist bands.

In addition to the sales and donations, we unexpectedly received the following:  The Lions Pancake breakfast held on Saturday donated $1,400.00 and The Joint Church Service held on Sunday donated $687.00.

The total received from Loudon Old Home Day events was $5,369.90.  These additional funds will allow us to purchase engough and hand out enough food to create 21,480 meals.  It was completely unexpected.  Thank you so much!

The LES Halloween Party is on again for this year.

I spoke with Loudon Elementary and confirmed the Halloween Party is a “go” for Friday October 20th.  The party runs from 6 pm – 8 pm. Yes, we will need lots of volunteers before, during, and after the party.  We will also need plenty of sponsors as well!  If you want to volunteer or contribute online go to LoudonFoodPantry.org, click on the Current Events Tab, then LES Halloween Party.  A printable volunteer form is available there as well! If you want to contribute via mail, please send any contributions directly to:  Attn:  LES HP Fund, Loudon Food Pantry, 30 Chichester Rd., Loudon NH 03307-0734

Delay in Donation Letters

Everyone has been extremely generous during 2022. The way donations are processed at Loudon Food Pantry is different than most other pantries. We have an inventory system and donations are logged (tagged and written down) and put into that system. The items in a donation are given out as soon that is done. Then all the logged slips are put into our system and we value each and every item. This gives us the figures to give to donors in their donor letters.

2022 we way busier than anticipated and we fell behind. We will have donations letters out by the end of February. I will post as soon as they are in are sent. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!

New Program Eligibility Guidelines – 2022

When a person goes to a food pantry seeking assistance, there are guidelines most food pantries follow. The income level guidelines have just changed which will allow us to help more people.

For example…If you are a household size of one and receive less than or equal to $2,718 per month you qualify to receive food.

To see if you or your household qualify click here. After looking at the “Need Help?” page and you don’t qualify but feel your circumstances warrant further evaluation, please call Sue at 724-9731. We understand situations differ in these trying times and just want to help!
