The Hunger Sucks, Food Rocks Walk/Ride Preliminary Results

The Hunger Sucks, Food Rocks Walk/Ride on Saturday went great!  The weather was super nice!  Thanks to The CUCC’s Outreach Committee, all the walkers and riders for a wonderful day!  The goal for this walk was $2,000.  As you can see, they surpassed their goal!

The walk originally raised $2,535 for the pantry.

More money kept coming in…now the figure is $2,725.  Because we are still waiting for a few last minute donations, this figure will increase as well.

Mondays Explained

As some of you may know, Monday is a day we use to prep for the week to come.  Typically volunteers usually start coming in on Tuesdays.  So at times, I need to do pantry or event stuff outside the pantry itself.  If I will not be here for any reason it will be posted on our website and our facebook page.  So please check before dropping in on a Monday.

Loudon Food Pantry will be closed at 1:00 PM today (Monday, September 25th).  I have donations to pick up, administrative running around to do and Halloween Party items that need to be done.

We will re-open Tuesday, September 26th at 10:00 AM.

Thank you!

Sue

This Saturday is The Hunger Sucks, Food Rocks Walk/Ride

On Saturday, September 23rd at 10:00 am, the CUCC’s Outreach Committee will be sponsoring the annual walk/bike ride to benefit the Loudon Food Pantry. Again, this will be in place of the annual CROP Walk and will ensure that Loudon Food Pantry receives 100% of the donations.  The 5k walk/ride will start in front of the Canterbury Church and end at the Parish House where there will be refreshments served by the Canterbury Benevolent Society. Children under the age of 10 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Please contact LeAnne Fifield 934-2075 or Sonette van der Merwe 540-9325 for forms to walk/ride.  Click here to find a walker/rider to sponsor not listed here or to make a donation.
