Don't miss this year's LOUDON WINTER CARNIVAL held by The Loudon Recreation Committee. This year they are helping the Loudon Food Pantry.
Go and have fun!
On Saturday, February 27th from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Loudon community members will gather at the Loudon Recreation fields in the village for some fun!!! New this year will be horse-drawn wagon rides by Loudon’s very own Larry Stone of Stone Boat Farm – his beautiful Belgian draft horses will be the tour guides. The ever popular snowman building competition with prizes for the most creative will be in full swing. We have heard the “buzz” and the creativity is really flowing this year. Come on down and bring your supplies for some building fun. There will be snowshoeing with snowshoes available to try for free or bring your own and blaze the trail. Also new this year will be a raffle with great raffle prizes like a $25 gift certificate donated by Cole Gardens, a $25 gift certificate for the Tilton Diner donated by The Common Man, and two $10 gift certificates donated by The Ivory Rose. The raffle money will go toward recreation programming. If you would like to purchase tickets in advance, please contact LeeAnn Childress at 396-4950. There will be a fire to keep warm and free hot cocoa and cookies. Also available for a nominal fee will be drink, hot dog and chip combos and those proceeds will benefit the Loudon Food Pantry. Come on down to the Recreation Fields for some fun with your friends and neighbors from Loudon. We are always looking for help on the day of the event, if you can help please let us know!! In the event of bad weather or no-snow on the 27th, we will hold the event on Feb. 28th.
